Why clay
The first trades were written in clay.
Around 3200 BC, scribes in Uruk pressed wedges into wet clay to record who owed what: barley, wool, silver. A tablet fixed the terms at the moment of the deal and was settled later. Blue Clay keeps that discipline. Your entry is fixed when you open, your bust price is known up front, and every position settles against one ledger.
Four wedges, climbing. Our mark is a terminal with a cuneiform chart on its screen.
A trade, start to finish
Three steps, no counterparty search.
- Step 1
Open
Choose a market, a direction, margin and up to 1000× leverage. The program reads Hyperliquid’s mid and locks it as your entry.
- Step 2
Hold
PnL moves one-for-one with the mid. There is no funding to pay and no order book to slip through. Your bust price is fixed the moment you open.
- Step 3
Close
Close whenever you like at the mid. Profit is paid by the Kiln; a loss refills it and mints CLAY to your wallet.
House liquidity
The Kiln
Every trade faces the Kiln. It began at zero and grows only from realised losses. When it runs short, winners queue and are paid from the next losses.

CLAY
Minted only from trading losses: no pre-mint, no team allocation, no airdrop. Staked CLAY earns 1% of settled PnL and the Kiln’s overflow above its cap.
